Six-Point Philosophy
The Korean School of Oregon, founded in 1981, was established to achieve the following goals:
To teach the modern Korean language in its standard written and spoken forms, emphasizing grammar, commposition and vocabulary acquisition from novice to advanced levels
To introduce traditional and contemporary elements of Korean culture including the arts, family life, folk philosophy, food and drink, religion and social norms
To celebrate important events and holidays in the Korean-American community
To increase awareness of Korean and Korean-American history
To promote interaction between Korean-American students and the greater community in which they live
To support the study of traditional and contemporary Korea by all interested people

- Korean Language Curriculum for K-12
(Fri. 4:45 PM - 7:45 PM, Sat. 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM)
- Preparation for the SAT-II Korean Test
- Korean Language Word-Processing and Internet Class
- Promotion of Korean Traditional Performing Arts
- Community-building for persons of Korean-American descent and all others interested in Korea
